A generously-sized, 656-page, full-color encyclopedia featuring reflections and favorite flies from more than 200 contributors including President Jimmy Carter, fly matriarch Joan Wulff, saltwater icon Lefty Kreh, Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard, Riverkeeper founder Robert Boyle, rock musician Huey Lewis, author Tom McGuane and artist James Prosek, America’s Favorite Flies has garnered accolades as an unprecedented and glorious collaboration.

Only 245 copies of this leather-bound edition exist. Each copy is numbered to certify its status in the first and only planned production run of this true work of art. The leather-bound library edition contains two additional pages not found in the classic hardcover edition, featuring even more artwork and offering space for the book's number. You may also wish to use this space to add your own inscription if you plan to give this volume as a gift! Previously, this edition of America's Favorite Flies was only available as a part of a luxury bundle retailing at $995. Now is your last chance to add this handsome volume to your collection—and at a fraction of the price.

America’s Favorite Flies is dedicated to the late Norman Maclean, author of A River Runs through It, which spawned the movie that attracted the masses to fly fishing. Maclean’s two children, Jean Snyder Maclean and John N. Maclean, have provided their writings along with their enthusiastic confirmation of this dedication. Fly fishing guru Jason Borger – stand-in and fly instructor for the movie – has provided the heartfelt introduction for America’s Favorite Flies.

The book also includes a variety of guest essays as well as works personally provided by two dozen amazing artists ranging from James Prosek to Eldridge Hardie. Best of all are the flies: a full-page, full-color, high-resolution photograph of the Black Ant sent by President Jimmy Carter, the Royall Wulff sent by Joan Wulff, Lefty’s Deceiver from Lefty Kreh, Paul Volcker’s Silver Blue, Dave Whitlock’s Red Fox Squirrel Nymph, George Reiger’s Muddler Minnow, Craig Mathews’ Improved Sparkle Dun, John Randolph’s Adams, and more than 200 others. With these flies came each contributor's stories and expertise — all included in America's Favorite Flies.

Already heralded as one of angling’s most stunningly gorgeous books, the design and physical details are crafted by Rob Carter whose dozen internationally published books on design confirm his respect as a visual master. America’s Favorite Flies’ design, photography, artworks, selection of papers and inks, and sheer volume all present inimitable beauty and elegance.
